Cult Love is thrilled to bring forth the rerelease of legendary diy figure, Adam Void's, "Freight Noise". Field recordings of life on the tracks.

For those not familiar with Adam Void, he is an artist's artist of the underground. Founder of Cut In The Fence and the School of the Alternative, graffiti & train hopping king, and lover of all things tru, Adam Void has been a staple of underground culture and all its nooks and crannies since the late 90's.

"Freight Noise" is a cassette containing two field recording excerpts from a week long train hopping stint Void took with writer, MTN NGC, through the south. Sonically, they are two exceptionally tasteful cuts. Whereas often times raw field recordings can be a monotonous, overly niche listen to the average listener, or too personal of an experience to be properly translated from capturer to audience, Void's tracks are extremely listenable. Concise, dynamic, continually interesting, "Freight Noise" runs the perfect length of time and never holds a dull moment. Atmospheric, natural sounds are interrupted by the mechanical and industrial but in such a way that flows and weaves together in nothing short of a magical, enthralling manner. Void encapsulates and expresses that 7-day trip on the rails perfectly, and miraculously, in under 5.5 minutes a side. It is an utterly beautiful, fabulous listen.
