There's a lot to be said about this project, brain child of the noise and industrial mastermind, Matt Hex.
Matt Hex has been active in the midsouth noise scene since the early 2000's, headquartered in the Stilwell, OK, Tulsa, OK, and Ft. Smith, AR areas, though he travels across the US frequently. He has been a part of numerous extreme music, experimental, and noise projects and collaborative supergroups, such as, Video Nasty, Looter, and Licking Wounds, to name only a very few. But, Bonemagic has been arguably the most prominent and consistent project throughout his life.
Bonemagic's sound can be most simply described as a harsh noise/cut-up and industrial, maybe even gothic electronic, hybrid. The collage of the two genres is hypnotizing to say the least, with crushing spastic attacks of premium noise quickly transitioning in to passionate, lyrical industrial tracks that showcase Matt's fantastic imagination and vocal style. Hex's talents shine thoroughly in his music and noise, and in our opinion he is creating some of the best noise and industrial in the current community of experimental and "outsider" music. With Bonemagic, you really get a genre pushing collage of sound and electronic that is rare to come by.
Wrath of the Red Vest, a reference to one of his most commonly sported items of clothing, a patched, weathered red vest, really showcases his ability to pair brutal noise with dance-like gothic industrial. This is not a bad album to introduce yourself to Bonemagic with, you really see some of his best work on both sides of his sound spectrum. For us, this feels like a quintessential Bonemagic release.
Bonemagic's live sets have to be mentioned. Bonemagic is one of the BEST projects that you could ever possibly catch live. If his music alone is hypnotizing, his live performances are downright all consuming. Matt is not only a skilled and time-tested experimental, industrial, and noise maker, he is also an incredible performance artist (the red vest is one of his most commonly worn live items of clothing). Bonemagic's live sets are truly rituals and spectacles, featuring lights, dancing, and Matt's huge personality and expert sound crafting skills. Not even lying, friends of ours have compared the Bonemagic live experience to the likes of watching ballet. Matt is one of the most passionate performers you will ever come across, SEE BONEMAGIC LIVE !!!
Matt is somebody that we really look up to and admire in the noise and experimental community. We are thrilled to be releasing his most recent EP, Wrath of the Red Vest. Enjoy some of the midsouth's best.

I cannot praise this album enough. This album is absolutely terrifying! The many starts and stops creates this very h settling tension. Each start expands on the stopper idea previously. It’s like the music equivalent of walking through thick fog while passing out multiple times throughout trying to find a place to orientate yourself. There may or may not be something sinister in that fog, but you don’t want to stick around to find out. Bought the vinyl so I summon the fog demons through spe showhornwithteeth

First song is a pleasant, monotonous wall of noise with lots of low-end. The other song ramps the intensity up and has a hypnotic synthesized metal quality to it. tr_🇺🇦
