Disparity Gospel is a Tulsa, OK supergroup made up of members of bands such as, Senior Fellows, Creepozoidz, And There Stands Empires, Sun Vow, and many others. With a wide variety of past and present musical influences, and years of experience under their belt, they play a distinct style of black metal, that could perhaps be better described as blackened death metal, or maybe even "deathened" black metal, haha? With lyrical content dealing thematically within conventional death metal styles, groovier, slower portions in songs, and a high overall production quality, the album tends to point to a strong presence of modern death metal influence. Simultaneously though, the band identifies as a "not-so-true-kvlt" Oklahoma black metal band, the vocal styles are probably more similar to conventional black metal, and with melodic-esque song structures and frequent melancholy tremolo leads, it is impossible to deny the influence of modern black metal on the band's sound. Regardless, Disparity Gospel is able to take some of the best aspects of these two distinct metal genres, and collage them in to a powerful album that is both harmonious and absolutely brutal. Overall, metal fans will find themselves quite pleased with Disparity Gospel's debut album, Antechamber of Abundant Emptiness.

The album cover features a well known, abandoned Tulsa brown site building off of 18th and Boulder; ORU's Abundant Life Building. Frankly, the looming, carcass of a structure is easily the best physical representation of the music, both are extremely compatible.
