From two Tulsa underground, jack-of-all-trades youths comes a split of the TRUest form featuring the rawest and realest of contemporary DIY music. Cult Love is thrilled to introduce cybergrind newcomer and sleeper agent, Vulgar, and experimental, based rapper and producer, Asa, who bring forth authentic artistry that is as presently enthralling on this release as it is full of promise for future creative endeavors.

Vulgar is probably best described as cybergrind, but with a heavy emphasis on the grind part of that equation. Listeners will find ample flavors of slam, death metal, and goregrind in his music, and it would not be a stretch to venture to describe some of it as even being in the realm of gorenoise. However, as heavy as the metal influence is (pun intended), there is a distinctly electronic edge to Vulgar's music (cyber, duh), that makes itself present in stylings of glitch, breakcore, and trap (and of course, a classic noise outro). The resulting amalgamation is dirty, grimey, and catchy af. Absolute ass beaters that will as soon slap the breakdown with gutturals as it will glitch out in to a nastyy sewer rave hit.

Asa is a man of many practices, all uniquely their own. His present work on the split with Vulgar is undoubtedly best described as a rich and contemporary vessel for carrying the now classic and timeless tradition and act of self expression that is simply known as Based music or Based rap. Out of key vocals that swell in pitch and speed over avant-garde instrumentals and production styles that can leave listeners as confused as captured and curious. A refreshingly raw approach to internet and soundcloud hip hop and rap that is rugged and visceral, lacking candy coating, over the top radio production that leaves every track with distinct texture, timbre, and taste.

Cult Love is ecstatic to bring you the first official physical release of two artists and musicians burgeoning with talent and promise. Heavily endorsed artistry and tuneage.
