California alternative pop, underground sensation, SLATER, returns to Cult Love a year after their EP, "Spies Can't Get Caught", with a brand new release of three of the smoothest, hippest hitters you will hear this year. SLATER's signature style and appeal is all here and in its perfect state! The therapeutic, sexy vocal deliveries, upbeat but somehow simultaneously mellow beats, and very kind, listenable production. This is that catchy 2021 summer cruising, windows-down-on-the-town music, fo rella!

"I-Spy (Stay-Fly)" is probably comparable to the stylistic middle ground between the other two tracks on the release. It's groovy and absolutely infectious, maybe our personal favorite on here. Not overly chill but not beating down the door either. Funky and fun.

If there's a club banger on this, it's definitely "Imma Jerk". Much more in your face than "I-Spy (Stay-Fly)" but still (like all of SLATER's music) equally likely to get stuck in your head. This one has the fat synths and bass line that makes you want to hit some moves and act out in a public space.

The third and final track, "Pull Up On The Block" is a evening cruising anthem. Very sexy and smooth with some synths and vocal parts almost reminiscent of the early '00's pop hits. By far the mellowest of the three, ending with a sexy slowdown and changeup. A killer way to end the listening.
