Brandon Draper is a multi-instrumentalist, touring musician, percussion instructor, and University of Kansas professor. Having on many occasions toured internationally, played in an expansive variety of bands, and been generally active in the regional Kansas music scene since his early teenage days, he is a force to be reckoned with and has paved himself quite a reputation and repertoire over his many years in the midwest music community. His musical works and influences consisting of everything from drum and bass, blues, and jam band styles, to flamenco, jazz, and hip hop as well.

Summer of 808 is perhaps, stylistically, a return to the days of Brandon's youth. Desiring to recapture the nostalgic sounds of the 80's as well as some of the early days of hip hop, Brandon crafted a completely analogue "808 Beat Tape" that is perfect for these scorching middle-of-the-US summers, whether you're road tripping, on the water, or just flat out sweating on the asphalt. You'll find a variety of influences on this album, everything from lofi production and experimental to world music and boom bap. Truly the Summer of 808.

In the days of Soundcloud and the internet, terms such as "808", "lofi", and "Beat Tape" have nearly lost all meaning in the flood of bedroom FL producers (no shade to them, though!) But let us assure you, this right here is the real deal. No imitations, no software plug ins, just authentic, analogue 808 production. This isn't your Soundcloud homie's beat tape !
